Social Security is a Strange Setup 2008

I wrote this around 1998, and it still goes on, Our enemy our Government wins and we the peopleloose.

Social Security is a Strange Setup 2008

If you have worked long enough, with out a brake, and get 120 quarters into Social Security, you will get the full benefit of your labor when you retire at age 65. But Congressman Dan Rostenkowski put a “Catch 22″ into Social Security under Jimmy Carter’s administration. If you were born in 1929 or later, this from Social Security on the internet, and you have 120 quarters you will get you full benefits, money you have coming. Plus if you only have a few quarters in you will receive the minimum amount of money, no problem.

If you were born after 1929 and you have 120 quarters you will get your full benefits if you retire at 65. If you retire at 62 you won’t get your full benefits, which we understand. Now here is the “Catch 22″. If you worked for the Federal, State, City, County Governments and do not have all your quarters and you would receive the minimum amount of say 400.00 dollars because you have 60 working quarters in Social Security. You will not get all that money, you will loose most of that money because you worked for a State, City, County Government that does not take out Social Security, you will not receive your minimum benefit. You will loose 90% of that money. Because according to “Catch 22″ that is double dipping.

So that’s where that is. This was the law that was written and passed to help solve the problem of saving money for Social Security. (Here is a question, Congress and the Senate can pass a law, any law good or bad in a, let’s say, a day. But they can not resined that law at any time ever.)

But, the Democratic Congress and Jimmy Carter had this law passed, people who are American Citizens who worked for this money are punished, and will not get even the minimum.
People who are refugee’s or legal emigrants who are 65 will receive a monthly income from Social Security of $1,890.00 and they can also obtain an additional $580.00 in social assistance for a total of 2,470.00 dollars a month. And they have never worked one minute in the Social Security System. They get more benefits than the American worker who worked all his life in the system and gets less than half of what a refugee or legal emigrant gets. Now there is also SSI which gives out money to these people and some of our citizens, who never put into S.S. Now the illegal Mexicans are here and they get every thing free, medical, school, you name it they can get it. If you are an American citizen you are punished by the system. Go to any SS Office and see all the people who never worked in SS getting SSI and Social Security money they need. And this has been going on for 50 years. Then the Government says Social Security is in deep trouble. It wouldn’t be in deep trouble if the Government would stop giving money to people who do not work for their pension in Social Security for that 120 quarters like the rest of the working public did. The federal Government knows this but will not stop this practice of giving free money to people who come into this Country illegally or legally.
I recently wrote my Senator about the Government giving away our SS money and benefits to people who never worked for them. I asked him if he would try and pass a bill to stop this. He beat around the bush and said nothing. You write the people you think are representing you in the Congress and Senate and see if they will listen. I don’t think so. Below, from the internet, is a run down on how gave are SS away.

GOOD TO HERE ! Our Social Security
Franklin Delano. Roosevelt (Terms of Office March 4, 1933, to April 12, 1945), a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:
1.) That participation in the Program would be Completely voluntary,
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program,
3.) That the money the participants elected to put Into the Program would be deductible from Their income for tax purposes each year,
4.) That the money the participants put into the Independent ‘Trust Fund’ rather than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would Only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month — and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Fe deral government to ‘Put Away’ — you may be interested in the following:

If I recall correctly, 1958 is the first year that Congress voted to remove funds from Social Security and put it into the General Fund for Congress to spend.
If I recall correctly, it was a democratically Controlled Congress.
From what I understand, Congress logic at that time was that there was so much money in Social Security Fund that it would never run out / be used up for the purpose it was intended / set aside for.

James Earl Carter, Jr (Jimmy Carter)
39th. President, Democrat
Term of Office: January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981 Question: Which Political Party decided to start giving Annuity payments to immigrants?
AND MY FAVORITE:
Answer: That’s right! James Earl Carter, Jr. (Jimmy Carter) (Democrat, Term of Office: January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981) and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
———————————————————————-
Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of Awareness will be planted and maybe changes will Evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully Sure of what isn’t so.
But it’s worth a try. How many people can YOU send this to?
Actions speak louder than bumper stickers.
AND CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM!!!
